Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4/7/2026

Your privacy matters to us. Piggy Bank for Kids is designed to be local-first, but we also use a limited set of third-party services to support subscription management, crash reporting, and app event measurement for our own marketing.

Information We Process

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

  • App content and settings you create, such as kid profiles, piggy banks, chores, allowances, transactions, and feature settings
  • Subscription and purchase status needed to unlock and manage paid features
  • Technical, diagnostic, attribution, and marketing measurement data described below

We do not sell personal information. We also do not intentionally include child names, family names, free-form notes, messages, or other sensitive household content in marketing event payloads.

Local Storage

Most app data, such as budgeting and balance information, is stored locally on your device using SQLite.

Because the app is local-first:

  • Deleting the app removes locally stored data from that device
  • We do not intentionally use your budgeting or chore data for advertising payloads

App Event Measurement and Marketing

We use TikTok's App Events SDK to measure app installs and key in-app actions and to understand and improve our own advertising and marketing performance.

TikTok may receive limited technical and app event data such as:

  • Device identifiers, such as the advertising identifier if permission is granted on iOS, and other device or vendor identifiers used by the SDK
  • IP address, locale, app version, operating system version, and device type
  • App event data such as signup completion, child profile created, piggy bank created, first money added, and purchase value and currency

We do not intentionally include child names, family names, free-form notes, messages, or similar sensitive household content in TikTok event payloads. On iOS, collection of Apple's advertising identifier depends on whether you grant App Tracking Transparency permission.

Error Reporting

To improve app stability and fix bugs, we use Sentry for error and crash reporting.

When an error occurs, Sentry may collect limited technical information, such as:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version
  • Diagnostic data like crash logs or stack traces

This information is used to diagnose and fix issues. It is not used to send child or family content to advertising partners.

Purchases and Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by Apple or Google through the applicable app store. We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status and entitlements across the app.

RevenueCat and the app store may process information such as product identifiers, subscription status, transaction status, renewal or expiration dates, and app user or account identifiers needed to validate paid access. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Children’s Privacy

This app is intended for parent-guided use. Parents or guardians are responsible for overseeing their child’s use of the app and any information entered into it.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for advertising purposes. Parents or guardians should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive personal information about children into the app.

Data Deletion

Because the app is local-first:

  • You can delete local app data on a device by uninstalling the app

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
